The kitchen somehow always seems to be the messiest and dirtiest room of the house, no matter how many times you’ve cleaned it. Of course, no one wants anything more than a spotless kitchen, but deep cleaning it every week takes up way too much time. Luckily, we’ve come up with 8 kitchen cleaning tips that you can follow that’ll help you get the job done fast!

1. Declutter Your Counter Tops

Well, for starters, you can’t start cleaning a kitchen if it’s full of junk. So, begin on one end of the kitchen and remove everything that shouldn’t be on your countertops in the first place.

Don’t focus on putting items away one at a time. Rather, collect everything and place them all in one place for now until you’ve properly cleaned your counters.

2. Tackle The Dishes

If you have any dirty dishes floating around in the sink, it’s time to tackle them. But before doing so, make sure you’ve cleared a space to put your freshly washed plates. If you have a dishwasher, place your dirty dishes there and set them to wash while you continue cleaning the rest of the kitchen.

3. Clean Your Small Appliances

Small appliances, such as the microwave or toaster, get dirty rather quickly. And if you have them on display, dirty appliances won’t make your kitchen look neat and clean. So, clear any debris off from your coffee maker, stand mixer, toaster, etc.

You can either use vinegar to wipe down your appliances or even an all-purpose cleaner. But don’t use vinegar on stainless steel appliances, as it’ll dull down the shine.

4. Clean Your Stove

If you have a gas stove, soak the grills to remove the grime and use an all-purpose cleaner to wipe the surface underneath. However, if you have electric burners, you can easily clean them with warm soapy water.

5. Thoroughly Clean Your Counters

Now that you’ve cleared all the clutter from your counters and you’ve washed the dishes, it’s time to clean the tops. Work in sections and start by clearing all the items off the tops. Next, remove the crumbs trapped between the corners and then wipe them off with an appropriate cleaner.

6. Clean Your Sink

Many people don’t realize that sometimes, that unpleasant kitchen stench that appears from time to time originates from the sink. So, the first step is to rinse it out. Next, scrub your faucet, sponge holders, and the entire sink.

Once you’ve scrubbed it all the way through, fill your sink with hot water and some bleach. After, let it sit for 15 minutes or so and then drain your sink.

7. Deep Clean Your Fridge

Have a glance through your fridge and remove anything that might have been sitting there for too long or that may have expired. Then, organize your items by putting them in their meaningful place and wipe off any spills you may find.

8. Clean Your Floor

And last but definitely not least, to clean your floor the right way, use a broom to sweep up all the debris and crumbs. Remember to sweep near your cabinets and under your fridge as well. Next, use a vacuum to finish picking up all the dirt and dust. Once you’re done, use a mop to add that sparkle.
